My family had an adobe at C and Follett Streets where the post office now stands. I’ve visited the museum with my cousin Sallie Day and again with Steve Emanuels. What a thrill to see the picture of my uncle and two aunts in the living room! My father was raised by his uncle, Claude Follett, in Toulumne, CA after the death of his mother, Sarah L Esrey Follett. I would love to get a copy of Steve’s books, A Lonesome Place to Live and The Rhoads and Esrey Letters 1846-1873. I’m planning another trip to visit the museum and see if I can find the land where my great grandfather, Jonathan Esrey, last lived using GPS coordinates!
